First homework drawings_TinkerCad
for our first homework, we have been working in TinkerCad. TinkerCad's server was recently upgraded and so I'm thinking there are some glitches that are still not working because this site seems very janky and doesn't seem to save my work properly, especially when working with more complex forms. Also, when opening the files they are sometimes inundated with every object that has been used in the drawing operations. I took screen shots because it kept fucking up my work and not saving it properly, etc. I couldn't tell where it was. I am definitely eager to try other sites like Make, etc. And will begin doing some research on this as soon as possible.
Here are some of the screen shots that I took of the work, while it was in progress.
Sketch 1
Petri dish. Very simple: took 5 minutes.
Sketch 2
Funnel: Not as easy: but once I figured out the alignment function it went a lot quicker.
Sketch 3: Then I drew a bottle. getting the rounded off parts on the bottom and the top was easier when I just duplicated, flipped it 180 degrees and merged the two bottles together. Then I scaled down the bottle using the "hole" function and made a top, which was much like the funnel. I don't know how to create the threading inside of the bottle, but will hopefully learn soon.
